- Stiftelsen Ibsen Hamsun Grimstad tar utgangspunkt i Grimstads kulturhistorie og skal fremme formidling, fordyping og forskning av litteratur og drama. Sentralt vil være Ibsens og Hamsuns diktning. Dette kan skje ved litterære seminarer og foredrag, men også ved scenisk og annen kunstnerisk aktivitet. Stiftelsen skal tilstrebe hver høst å arrangere Ibsen Hamsun dagene som en litteraturfestival i Grimstad. Stiftelsen skal ha nært samarbeid med Grimstad bys museer, samt delta i det kulturelle samvirke i Grimstad og støtte opp om satsingen «Dikternes by».
