Laget skal legga vekt på å høyre og samordne interessene i bygda. Vikebygd Grendautval skal vera eit bindeledd mellom innbyggarane og kommunen, mellom anna ved å vere høyringsinstans ovanfor kommunen i saker som særleg vedkjem Vikebygd. Alle i bygda kan kome med innspel om saker.
